Ramen Review #9: Master Kong's Beef Ramen

Frog is very excited to write this review! Of all the Master Kong's Ramen flavours I like this one the most. Master Kong has other kinds of instant ramen, but in this particular line of ramen there are only three flavours: pork ribs, spicy beef and normal beef. I have tasted and reviewed the other two and those two are good, but this one is definitely my favourite.

Inside the package you will find the dried ramen, a powder soup base packet, a oil packet and one packet of dried vegetables and beef.

When dissolved the soup packet produces and mellow tasting beef stock. I would suggest adding the dried vegetables and beef chunks along with the soup base when cooking so it has enough time to reconstitute. The oil packet adds a strong garlic taste to the stock.

The result is a slightly hot soup base with a strong beef and garlic flavour. It goes really well with beef balls and vegetables. There is a hint of sweetness in beef stock that compliments the natural sweetness of vegetables. The ramen has a good texture and a nice bite. It does not turn soggy as fast as other instant ramen. Definitely a ramen to keep in the kitchen at all times.
